"The Buford" (Noe'XNanie" )

It has been awhile since I gave you a Buford update.
He is doing fantastic. He went to the vet today for his physical and shots (why I thought Iwould send you a quick message) and the Vet says he is the ideal weight and that everything looks great. he just turned two. He is spoiled rotten. He goes to daycare twice a week where he clearly is the class favorite. how he could he not be with all those wrinkles!He is such a sweet boy and has a great disposition. Typical Dogue. Very loyal to his family, friendly with people we have in the house, but will let you know about anything going on around him for sure. My Dad often dogknaps him and I get reports from my friends that he is riding in the front seat of his brand new Lexus riding down Poplar Avenue. thank you so much for him. he is very loved, very spoiled, and very well taken care of.Regards,Alex

"It was Memorial Day 2008. Buford was still a puppy technically. He weighed only 130. I received a phone call as I was coming home. The alarm company asked "How far away are you?" I said "two minutes." I pull up and a police officer is staring through my front door (glass). She asked "If we go in do you have the dog?" "Yes Maam", I said. Well we go in and I grab the tank (dog) and he is completley compliant! I take him upstairs. They arrest guy. Now I will fill in details. When I ran up to the front door I noticed Buford slinging a black man around by the leg. It was almost a game. Buford would sling him from side to side by the leg. Let him go and then get him again (thankfully he had on long pants). He played with him like a child. He does have a 27 inch neck.
What we think happened... He loves to go to my office when its hot because it stays cool up there. Well dude broke into the back door. We think he met the Buford (when you're that big you can put The in front of your name so says the Cop!) as he was coming up the stairs and Buford was coming down! Well the fight wasnt fair. Buford went straight for him. Luckily for him I was around the corner. I hate to say it but Buford would have killed him. But!!! In Bufords defense as soon as Dad grabbed him he was totally complient. Not so much as a growl.
Sonya. He is an amazing dog. With an amazing disposition. He is calm, sweet, loves other dogs (we dog sit for a 100 pound yellow lab all the time) and loves kids. never aggressive. In fact he shys away from other dogs in that fashion! Kind of looks at me like "what should I do?" What a sweet boy. Everyone loves him. He has a very loyal following on Facebook! He is a rockstar. "

Chewy as puppy. I received this note along with these pix. :)

Chewie is the greatest dog of all time. When we take him to the Vet. the employees are waiting to greet him and they don't do that for anyother dog.

Today, he grabbed his lease and brought it to Rachel for a walk. We haved never tried to train him to do this. It was all him. Last Saturday Chewie weighed 90 lbs. Our son, Eli, calls refers to Chewie as his furry brother and they are inseperable. Chewie is very tolerant of all the antics of a 6 year old boy.

Dragger and his family. First pix he is only 1 yr old. the next pix he is two yrs old. You can see how his head has matured. Dragger human 'daddy' passed summer 2010. SO sad to get on fb and see one of your friends left this earth. We will miss you!!

This is Lucy (before known as DeeDee, Ch. Desiree' sister) in her retirement home!!

Lucy (call her "Lucky!") is now doing therapy work and is incredibly fit. I need pix of her standing up! Ze' walks with her a lot.

This is Hammer a male stud dog my sister retired. So who would have believed this boy, as an adult, got neutered, went into a home and is this wonderful!!

Says a lot about the bullmastiff AND his new humans!!!
